I'm making the suggestion that there should be a title or a piece of level 100ish gear from completing all the jump quests. I don't think these items should be stat heavy, I'm thinking increase in movement/jump speed or dex/accuracy. I initially thought of a medal, but although it does fit better as "Jump Master" or something, the Quest Specialist medal I feel overlaps and overshadows it. The belt slot is typically unused (unless event), or much much later in game, so I thought of that as an alternative. Jump quests are truly a test of patience and I feel something should reflect a player who takes the time to complete all of them.
Imo, making A Jump Quest Medal untradable Skin, similar like an NX item to overlay example the “Wiseman” medal would be a really nice addition! Oh and JQ medals aside, winning GM events, Forum Events to have an special medal would be very interesting too! Examples would be like “Russian Roulette Champion” for #1 in GM RR events “Sleepywood Jumper” for completing x10 John’s pink flower basket quest reward. “Chair Designer 2020” for winning forum Chair Design Event Allowing players to engage more on such exciting attractions offered in MapleRoyals. More GM events such as giving out existing medals like “I’m a Lucky Guy” can be hosted during Special Occasions. Where Events can be simple such as the usual Player events where the first single player who smega a number between 1-1000 would win the NX Medal. Designing a medal shouldn’t be a tedious task as well incomparison to the weapons/chairs which includes fancy animations to fit the player’s sprite. Not sure if anyone would do it if its just plain old stats like accuracy / avoid!
It can be something like a 20 speed and 10 jump medal, which would almost be a personal permahaste (with other event equips you'd easily hit max speed and jump). It will be in theme of being good in jump quests, and a nice addition to classes that don't mind sacrificing a few stats for mobility (warrior classes for example). hmm, but what would you count into the jumpquest count? all sleepywood, eillinia, kerning jumpquests and that one jq in ludi? are there more Jump quests in the game? Maybe zakum jq, but it isn't a quest so idk if it can be checked by a medal :/
It could be like The One Who's Touched The Sky and then the trigger would be at the end of jqs, that way you can add stuff like the jumpquest prior to cwkm or others(not really sure which others exist but you get the point).
Oh positional medal detection is a good idea! There are some jumpquests that require clicking an npc, and it can be clicked fron many positions, so that position check should be on the earliest spot the npc is clickable from to avoid people missing the medal. Are all jumpquests repeatable? Cause if not then people who finished those jqs will not be able to do them then this sadly wont work
That's the disadvantage. People who already cleared the jump quest will either have to do it again(which im not sure if possible) or will miss it. I think realistically finishing the quests should award the medal although I still think for new players a positional detection could be cool.
Would disagree though. Doesn't really make sense to me since those who have already done it, some would never ever want to do it again. So no, it's not a fair implementation.
I agree it doesn't make a lot of sense but similarly to quest specialist I expect the people who hunt the medal to enjoy the process. I assume that whoever is going for the JQ medal likes the challenge/is good at jqs. Obviously making them do it again is stupid but it also revives some of the jump quests if you haven't done them in a while. I doubt the medal(if it gets implemented) will be even remotely useful, it's just a cool challenge to go through to spice up the game.
I did the jump quest because of Quest Specialist. So nope, I do not enjoy jump quests but I did it anyways. A requirement to redo the jump quests would just be an absolute pain. Since, people that wants the medal don't necessary enjoy jump quests. However, I do agree if a new jump quest is added into the game, specifically for the medal. Otherwise, just make a medal for *Jump Quests completed and not positional.
