So one of the most fun thing about this game is the Free Market in my opinion. A lot of people, always people selling\buying stuff, channel 1 FULL of shops all the time. MapleRoyals Free Market has A LOT of potential and a big community. Why not use it and UPGRADE IT? - How? First make the map bigger and add more maps for shops. For example like this: (This is just an exmaple, the developers can take it to any direction and design they want). After a server restart, the free market ch 1 is getting full of shop in single minutes, this will give people more place to put shops and more place to travel between players shops. - Another idea, less important to me in this suggestion: I had also had the idea of the platforms in the middle, with the new big client screen we have, there is less GFX problem, we are able to see more of the height of the screen. With this platforms, people will have more place and space to do S>\B> text that people can see. MORE FUN! Think of it that all the red space has potential for S>\B> texts, thats what the extra platforms are for. Now before the flames of people of switching channel is no fun, all the fun is in channel one with everybody on it, fft. But in serious note, I really think this will be a neat idea for our enormous community. Thoughts?? This is also really not a problem to add, no code even needed just some WZ edits and copying some shop rooms maps.
While i don't know about the double design you suggested (looks too big), I think increasing the size of FM would be a very legitimate suggestion now that the screen is larger. (maybe adding more shops to the right side?) In terms of shopping experience, I remember that browsing shops was more annoying. You had to walk more, and also climb platforms to see most of the maps. Now that people can browse shops more efficiently, it would mean that even if we add more shopping spots, it won't get too overwhelming. Oh, and for the extra platforms idea for more places to stand on? 100% on board! I always looked forward for events like christmas and halloween back when i was more of an FM hoe because adding verticality to the map made it feel far more opened, and i was actually able to read people's messages lol [btw, if this ever gets implimented, RIP FM23 donor chair XD]
I personally love the fact that every channel has shops... it really makes it feel like the economy is working as it should because everyone wants to set a shop up once they finish for the day... I’m not too fond of the expanded ch 1
My opinion is that is that the game would be more "nostalgic" when shops are filled across all rooms and channels, not when everything is only fit into one channel. Besides, what benefit would it bring as compared to changing channel in terms of time?
