Can we change vote timer from every 24 hours to once per day?

but still once a day instead of 24h it's better to get as it is
i don't think many care at what time is going to reset we will get used
server world wide can't be made perfect for all
but all got part of the day where they can play

It's been another 2 months and they still haven't changed to UTC. I'd suggest just changing the voting system to a daily reset, and keeping a countdown timer till the next reset on the vote page. That way, it's easy to avoid confusion even if they end up changing to UTC later on. Changing to a daily reset system is a big QoL improvement for pretty much every player, and it seems silly to delay it waiting for a change that we have no ETA on.

 

TBH I've given up on this topic. Several other servers have a daily reset instead of 24 hours, so I am really annoyed that we're being strung along with bullshit reasons. How can other servers do this and Royals can't? Don't claim GTOP handles this, because it's just not true.

Regardless, I would prefer maybe one more staff reply on the topic and then lock the thread please. Thanks.

Players wouldn’t actually notice when the reset happens. Consider a person always wants to vote, say at 10 am, no matter when the reset actually happens, he will always be able to vote at 10 am. The reset time zone only affects people who wait for the reset to happen, but that won’t even be a problem to them - if they miss the reset exact time, they would still be able to vote during the day/afternoon/night and the next reset vote on reset time again, not missing or messing up their wanted scheduled vote time.

Also people adapt quickly, we’ll all be fine with a changed reset time! Trust in us x

C'mon, change this voting system already. Even Obama's CHANGED has ended, and we're still not changed.

 

I think waiting until it lines up with gtop is letting perfect get in the way of better

 

Asking GTOP to change their time zone will affect every other servers communities who have gotten used to the current reset time. I get that Royals is the biggest server on GTOP right now, but i cant help but laugh at how we want to handle this whole situation.

Just make the change so we're like every other server. When and if GTOP changes, nothing will have changed except when the reset actually is. I realize you're gonna get people confused, but confusion is inevitable. The fact people will be able to vote twice in a short span of time will have them in the shoutbox asking. Just make the change now and get everyone used to the new voting cooldown.
