Since today, it appears that the mobs drop the cake debuff 100% of the time now. Can the Staff confirm if this is intentional or a glitch? Thanks!
Haha I placed it here for the time being, until it's confirmed to be a bug. Erring on the side of caution haha
A potential cause but I'm pretty sure this spike in cake debuff drop rate started today, whilst increased drop rate started some time ago. It might be inadvertently caused by the extension of the increased EXP/meso/drop event though.
75% x ~1.2 from event x 1.2 from card is like 100% :S In case you didn't know. There was a ingame announcement the cake drop rate was increased from 40% to like 75% shortly after the server check yesterday.
Was not aware of this, thanks for sharing! My honest opinion is the game's become alot more... toxic this way lol. Once people latch on to the outright overpoweredness of near 100% cake drops, the most common outcome is 2 agitated teams caking each other and everyone enjoying 25 candles from the stalemate. Not sure if Staff intends to tweak this or this is the new norm now, but I think I'll take a break from this PQ for the time being lol
Honestly, I like the only-jump meta more as there is some RNG in getting the perfect consecutive jumps and some skill in repositioning after landing. The cake drops can sometimes make the PQ feel unfair as you can be caked again within 3 seconds of the effect wearing off. A jump-only PQ, however, would be admittedly more boring so BPQ will probably be stuck in a cycle of tinkering until it feels right.
I was receiving feedback that nobody was going for mobs anymore because the cake debuff wasn't viable anymore, so the cake droprate was increased, I've lowered it a bit again, hopefully it's better now.
