Hi, I would like to the guild. I am planning on making this character a marksman, my IGN is IronSniper.
It's been a while since I've done an update post on this thread. From the last update post, I've made a bucc, lvled it higher than I had ever expected, soloed toad, and did many crazy things But I never thought the day i say "I've collected 400 sets" would ever come. But FUCK ME HERE WE ARE On the day 1/12/19, I earned the 4th collector medal, that requires 250 sets. After i got that medal, i got pretty lazy with finishing, convinced it will take me ages to complete anyways so i might as well take it slow... 8 months later, it's almost the end of the anni event, 19/8/20, and i had 291 sets in my collection, not a lot of progress in these past 8 months lol. In that same day, I've claimed the 1.2x exp and droprate ticket from the event, and said to myself "Maybe i should give card collecting a bit of a push?". What begain with a naive thought of "i'll get like 30~40 sets in these two weeks and be happy" became "FUCK IT LETS GET TO 400 IN 10 DAYS" And today, it happened: If i'm not mistaken, I think I'm the second ever ironman to get this medal, the first one is of course Ironangel, the OG collector [which did this even before the addition of the floating market] After soloing toad, the ultimate goal I had for the ironman challenge was legendary collector. so finally achieveing it, and heck, achieveing most of it in just 10 extremely intense days, was one of the most incredible experiences i had in my time playing mapleroyals! Now back to the drawing board, I must find a new challenge to tackle
WOOT level 70 and didnt know the guild was still active o.o who do i contact to join in? ign: ironTrap
Writing a short post about what's going on with my Night Lord as well as my new Ironman project. I took another break from my Night Lord mainly because I'm unsure of what goals I want to work on. Overall, my main objective with the game mode was soloing bosses. However, soloing bosses as a Night Lord is actually really terrible when it comes to Ironman. Firstly, their hp is very low, meaning I can't challenge most end game bosses. In addition, no Night Lord currently has TT30 since the Ironman community has never completed a Horntail Expedition. The dps of Night Lords isn't exactly great when you only have TT20 and no Sharp Eyes or Onyx Apples to use. As of right now, I feel like I've hit a wall with the account. The only goals I can currently think of are as followed: Obtain Quest Specialist Medal Obtain Legendary Collector Medal Obtain Black Belt Go for Level 200 The last thing I did on my Night Lord was get to level 151 and finally obtain my first Chaos Scroll. I proceeded to fail it on my Anniversary Scarf and cry like the sad little boy I am. Since I've hit a wall with my Night Lord, I've decided to start what I'm referring to as Season 2 of my Ironman journey! Meet Tentacles, my future Paladin and boss slayer. Originally, I was planning on making a Hero, but after lots of research and feedback from guild members, I ended up choosing a Paladin instead. They've been buffed and seem really great as a solo bossing account. I've set my int to 80 and I'm planning on achieving 30k hp on this account. As of right now, the only gear I have scrolled is a 6att work glove and a 74 att 5 str Maple Soul Singer. I'm four days into the account and I feel like I've made great progress. The main goals I currently have for my Paladin are as followed: Obtain 30k HP Solo Zakum Solo Krexel Solo Toad Solo The Boss I'll still continue playing on my Night Lord daily by doing my daily Papulatus runs while working on my Paladin. If anyone has any advice in regards to what kind of goals I can set for my Night Lord, let me know.
After saying that I'm unsure of what goal i should pursue next on my bucc, i tried many things. I checked if i have a chance at soloing shaolin (I don't, i'm missing about 1k range) I tried doing mu lung dojo but after blue belt i felt so drained that i lost interest in the grind for black belt. I thought of maybe going for collector on ironkaori, but realized that i'm still recovering from the last collectathon on shichika. Soloing zak on kaori is really only up to finding a good time window, i'm already prepared to finish that solo. I kept circling around, trying to find something to do, until i realized i might just need to start a new project. Announcing my new perma-beginner ironman, IronKongo!!! Like almost any of my characters, I'm basing this character's look on an anime's character. Kongo's look will be based on kongo from the show "land of the lustrous" And this is currently the look I'll be aiming for (subject to change): I'll admit that in the past, i looked at perma-beginner as "too sadistic" and "dull". But over time, i learnt that the period of time i enjoy the most in maplestory is the early game. In the early game i get to experiment the most with training spots, quests, builds, searching for gear, gachaing, etc etc. And now that i'm playing beginner, a class i nevet played past lvl 10, i expect an entirely fresh experience of the early game. This period of time usually ends quickly for me as well because its not too difficult to reach to lvl 90 due to the rates of the server, now with a beginner, I'll be able to enjoy it for longer! From the little time i played yesterday (which kept me awake way past midnight). I got to reach lvl 24 already, its surprisingly similar to just lvling a 1st job for me, because i tend to rely on quests to carry me through the lvls. I got quite a nostalgic kick from going to the shop to stock up on just 100 orange potions at lvl 20, only to realize i dont have that kind of meso (160 meso per pot? Thats a scam!). Oh, and i got really lucky near the end of my playtime, and managed to get the strongest weapon for my lvl range as a beginner which will carry me for quite a while (maybe up to the lvl 43 sword), pig illustrated! I don't think anybody but me can react like that to a lvl 25 mace lul. Fastest speed and 10 acc? Sign me up! I'll try and make fun reports like this once in a while. As this adventure feels pretty different than my usual challenge runs, and i want to share this weird experience
Update on my future Paladin Ironman: I started bossing earlier than I expected. Some Ironmen told me about how Capt. Latanica has extremely low avoidability, making it easy to hit him at lower levels. It took me 35 minutes to solo him at level 68. Comparing the exp to FoG, it's about the same. However, Capt. Latanica is a huge pot burn, costing me 900 hp potions. Regardless, it was fun to start my bossing experience earlier than expected. I also reached third job. Third job is where Paladins unlock elemental damage, something I've never experienced in Maplestory. I've decided to start off by maxing the fire charge. I also unlocked my Hog. With my hog unlocked, I plan on zooming through maps for some exp gains. I did my first gach session as well, getting my first Stonetooth Sword. I'm most likely going to 60% my first one, but it's probably going to be a while before I start using a Stonetooth. As of right now, I've reached level 75 on my White Knight. I'm currently camping Windraiders at Lower Ascent, getting one level every 30-40minutes or so. These guys are really good exp. I ended up getting 5 levels in my first day of grinding them. My range is looking good despite the fact I have 80 int. I spent 50-70 grinding at FoG since they're great exp and drop equips/scrolls useful for warriors. I only managed to make an 8att work glove, but after scrolling two swords, I made myself a 100att/11str/38accuracy Maple Soul Rohen. I've barely scratched the surface of White Knight, but so far I'm enjoying them.
