Previously from my ban appeal, which was brushed off.

"okay. little rimescale was saying things about my guildies. well i cant do much because somehow anything is against the rules and blah blah. So to get back at him through legit game play, i decided to defame him. Main point is, i did it to support my guildie as rimescale said something that hurt his feelings. (is that considered harassment, dear GMs?) Well I couldn't possibly smega rude stuff at rimescale right? (at that point. ) but the guild knew about it and we just wanted to support a guildie. (best guild ever. gurlzrool~)

It's not the first time something like this has happened. Other guilds do this too. How is it fair to penalize us when is was because rimescale brought this on himself. He should have watched his mouth.

"No, it is bullying. Tracking down a player throughout the server and sending all of your guildmates to defame them is harassment/bullying in its purest form. We'll see you after your ban is lifted."

This is not bullying, we didnt do it for no reason. We were all angry at him at that point and how would we know that we were not allowed to defame him somewhere else other than FM? it wasnt in the rules. And he could have made that up anyway. He could have just been at sleepywood at the time of the defame bomb and decided to add that to his sob story to improve the chances of getting wottle banned.

I really hope I get GMs attention. It was really rude of John to just close my thread by the way. i wanted to add on. but then yea, it was for ban appeals. So here i am, giving my feedback on this incident. I hope Matt can hear me out. ( because i dont want answers from different GMs. it confuses me.)

The rules aren't stupid precisely because Harassment is subjective. That is why we take pains to review and examine each case thoroughly. In any case, players are expected to show other players basic respect (it's something we don't need to have a strict rule for, because it's common courtesy- and speaks volumes of your personal conduct if we made it black and white), and any actions which cause your fellow players discomfort is highly discouraged.

We want to maintain a safe and fun environment in royals for everyone. In case this isn't clear- the staff of Mapleroyals do not tolerate online bullying of any kind. You lot may find it funny but to someone else it may be offensive- which is why we step in when someone does something which could be classified as injurious.

Would you like it if someone called his entire guild to defame you (even tracking you down to do so) while one of his more outspoken friends called you deregatory terms or phrases suggesting such?

Well, guess who was the one who didnt show respect. Rimescale. And all we did was defame him.(at first. we only smega'd because we were angry. we felt that wottle was banned wrongfully).

safe and fun environment? You what made the server fun for me? Helping out noobs at henesys hunting ground or kpq(even though we hated this shit) with wottle and supa. what's not safe is the ridiculous bans.

Would i like it if i got defame bombed? of course not. but i would be asking myself, what did i do wrong to deserve this. rimescale told my guildmates that they should be banned. i call this harassment. well it did hurt their feelings.. if we be all crybabies about it, would rimescale get banned? He brought this on himself. He deserved it. HE SHOULD HAVE WATCHED HIS MOUTH.

well all in all, we did what we did because we love each other. which is also why i writing this long post which you probably wont even read because you're so sick and tired of this incident.. but i had to try right?

Please, if you have proof rimescale broke the rules first, please provide it.

Regardless, however, your ban will not be lifted. You still broke the rules, as has been addressed in your previous ban appeals.

 

it should be 3 days. it's not changed yet. and stop avoiding the question. we didnt take screenshots because we are not crybabies.

I didnt know it was against the rules to say hurtful things. never thought GMs can do anything about it either. so we got back at him in the game. defame is retaliation. but it's not against the rules.

im not saying all these to have my ban lifted. it's the feedback section.. i just wanna get answers.

a defame in MS is a small thing, maybe equivalent to a stare irl. so the whole incident would be like rimescale talk bad about wottle and supa and the whole guild stared at him. so he ran away and call the police and we got jailed.

isnt this just ridiculous. think about it. use your brains a little. how is this bullying? have you been bullied before?

well i cant control them if they wanna stare at me.. i did say something to them.. but it's not a big enough thing to call the cops. and nobody should get jailed for staring. and like i said i wasnt asking for a ban lift. and i only smega'd all that because i was angry.

My ban is still 10 days. it should be 3 days. matt said it himself.

Defaming in and of itself is a game mechanic, and is not bannable. However, when coupled with insults, slurs, swearing and exacerbated through smegaing of more defames for a targeted individual while asking/provoking/spurring on a large group of people to stalk the victim and defame him- it becomes an instigated attack on that victim.

A.K.A Harassment- which is bannable.

I'd rather if we all mapled in harmony and everyone be all peace and lubs though <3
Personally I'm not a fan of banning people- I'd rather host events or stalk people while riding my Unico- Pegasus.
