Loss of life is permanent, but Adaryn died and respawned.

As death extinguished her light, darkness seeped into her decomposing corpse, slowly altering her DNA.
She awoke unexpectedly, distorted, disfigured and corrupt.

Each of her encounters with destruction advances her morbid condition.
Her mind is deteriorating as the corruption proliferates, her identity and complexion lost in her transformation.

Adaryn’s fate is sealed, and her compulsion to murder is rife.​

Description

Two star-crossed lovers. Two alchemist groups fated to be sworn enemies, and a troubled but brilliant alchemist who threatened to destroy the fragile peace of Magatia.

In a beautiful and mysterious town nestled within the mountains, four rag-tag adventurers found themselves forming an unlikely bond. Mewn, the war cleric, who never hesitated to aid the party. WoRara, the unwaveringly brash Barbarian, whom you could always count on to charge headfirst into battle. Gewn, a cunning but clumsy Rogue. And JustJae, the ambitious Bard, who always wanted to perform on more than just a small stage. These four stumbled into an accidental partnership that would prove to be as bright and beautiful as the moon that hung above Magatia.

After finding themselves aiding the townspeople to earn coin and board, the party began to uncover multiple mysteries. Who was Humanoid A, and why did he bear an eerie resemblance to Keeny's father? Why were the two alchemist groups so vehemently pitted against each other? Why was there a basement connecting the two factions, and how did a mysterious monster end up in there?

Amongst the various twists and turns, the party's adventure came to a head when they agreed to assist Romeo in untangling the mess that was keeping him apart from his lover Juliet. The party slew beasts, searched through classified documents from both the Alcadno and the Zenumist, and discovered the disturbed and insecure alchemist Yulete. In their quest to turn Yulete back towards the light, and return the power source to restore peace, the party came across a combat encounter with Yulete who had transformed into an Angry Frankenroid.

To defeat him, the party had to use all they had. This is a snapshot of their story.

After successfully defeating the Angry Frankenroid (a masterpiece of top-tier alchemy), and convincing Yulete to turn a new page, the party was reunited with Romeo and Juliet to recieve their rewards.

Act 1 of the MapleRoyals D&D campaign has come to a close. What will be the next adventure that this party stumbles upon next?

Description: HeyLookABear (or "Bear" for short) takes pride in being smarter than the average bear. Growing up, he even named himself based on what people sometimes said when they saw him. (On an unrelated note, he felt that "OhMyGoshKidsGetInsideTheHouseNow" was too long a name...) He eventually found himself a nice place to live and a loving girlfriend named "Foxy". He generally spends his days writing poetry, doing jobs for people in his community (they learned that he was a good-natured bear) and using the rewards to buy food and gifts for his girlfriend.

The screenshot below depicts him relaxing in his cave with Foxy. He has a lot of money leftover from a hard day's work and is thinking of buying a nice chair for his cave. He also collected enough food to last him... about 30 minutes. (Bears eat a lot, please don't judge!) And of course, with Halloween around the corner, he brought Foxy some candy.

As a bonus, here is his work-in-progress poem:

Here I sit in cave of Bear
dreaming of that comfy chair
in which to sit, relax and stare
at my Foxy, so fine and fair!

Note to Self: I wanted to change my job to Corsair to make the rhyme work better but bears don't use guns... they use claws! Everybody knows that! Maybe I should just make the change in the poem and stop overthinking it!

Description: Breaking News from The Maple Times: Kerning Killings

You join me live on air as we capture a group of hoodlums going bonkers over newly released hard Halloween candies found throughout the maple world. These addictive sugary snacks have left consumers feeling powerful for short bursts but at the cost of their own sanity.

Many maplers have purported experiencing delirium, uncontrollable rage, mood swings, the urge to shout 'blacklist' and the inability to stay within one's own platforms.
Whoops, silly me. It appears that I have made an editorial mistake.

The bitesize treats have turned Kerning City into a toxic and chaotic place where members of the public routinely screw over one another just for the opportunity to experience one more dazzling high knowing full well that once they return from their euphoric high they'll never feel quite strong enough ever again.


As you can see from the above footage the candies influence has also managed to corrupt officers of the maple world as the thirst for money and power surges to greater heights.
Well. . . Will Kerning City ever be the same again?
