I'm gonna delve straight into this problem. It feels like people with HS mules are cheating the game somehow. The HS mule gives them HS, but the mule itself doesn't get EXP and the attacker gets full EXP. This makes it harder for a priest built for utility (e.g. me) to find an attacker that would allow me to leech. Before you say leeching itself is cheating: Priests give HS to increase the attacker's EXP, therefore they are allowed to leech off. In other cases, leeching for hard-earned money. That can't be called cheating because a fair trade is still happening. These are the normal uses of HS. Cheating is when HS is active on 2 party members and the attacker gets the full benefit of the EXP and the mule gets nothing. Possible Solution: If the priest casting HS does not gain EXP from a monster that is killed by another higher level party member, HS casted by that priest does not function on any of the party members. Example: To gain EXP from petris, you need to be level 105. If you're a level 81 HS mule HSing an attacker, your HS would not function as you are not gaining EXP. I know most of you aren't going to agree but I'm just throwing this idea out there for the minority that surf channels looking for a place to leech for HS.
Uhhh I'm pretty sure if the HS mule can't leech, the attacker isn't getting the full 150% bonus exp, but just 110% (or was it 120%)...
I'm pretty sure that if you would have to gain exp as a priest for hs to work you would still not be able to get free leech which essentially is what you're asking for. People would rather leech their own bishop than leeching yours for free. I don't know what level you are or what specific situations you have a problem getting leech exp as a priest/bishop, from what you wrote I'm going to assume that you're going around popular leech selling locations like petris trying to get free leech. Getting free leech from someone who is selling leech just wont happen, I think that if you're going to get leech exp for providing hs you will have to find some attacker or a group of attackers around your level and go kill wolfspiders/himes or some other mob around your level.
A priest only need to cast a single spell every two mins and he gets to lvl up in amazing rates for free. If you ask me, thats cheating as well. There are more active grinding roles out there other than free leech. You can help an attacker at himes, and draw the mobs to him. You can join an attacker on a bf run, and help with the search and keep away the mobs of the map. Join a grinding party or just do shitty grinding yourself. Hs leech is a luxury, not the training the priests “deserves” for their hard work.
Not sure if you are aware how self centered this opinion of yours is. If you're salty about not finding free leech then pay for one or train on your own. Leechstory sucks but you don't have to do it, less so for free.
