Just a suggestion, but maybe make Gelts/Banana Graham Pies tradeable only through account, like storage, but not tradeable via sale or to other accounts. I have gelts on some of my alts that I do not plan to pursue anytime soon that would definitely benefit my main character a lot more, so it's almost like they're being wasted. Not allowing them to be sold to other players would not affect the apple market by much if at all, and since events like this where you can receive Gelts come across seldom, I think it's a good suggestion. Having said that, though, there are many factors into making this happen that may be detrimental to the market or overall playing experience that I have not thought about. Open to discussion on why or why not Gelts/Banana Graham Pies should be tradeable only through account, like storage. I also think that about untradeable chairs being able to be traded through account because I have gotten some very cute chairs on my mules that I'd like on my mains, but they're stuck on an alt account I'm not likely to pursue in the foreseeable future. But that's another topic for a different thread.
As you stated in your comment, this suggestion would likely impact have an impact on the market. Even now, because of the event the prices of onyx apples have dropped by ~10%. If gelts would become account tradable (if such a thing is even possible to implement, not sure about that), then the prices of onyx apples would be dropping even. This would subsequently cause for less people to run APQ, which I think is a bad thing. I prefer obtaining these buffs through party quests over solo play. Having said that, I would prefer that gelts stay untradable.
All that does is promoting to make "event mules" on the same account, so that untradeable gelts and chairs could be gained at up to 6x the rate they are gained at right now (if you are determined enough). Pretty sure the devs don't want you to get these items that quickly, especially not gelts, which are the second strongest pot in the game. The amount of people that would be able to "save" unused gelts from their random mules, vs the players who will massively abuse this system to get a ton of gelts makes me believe this is not a good idea.
Absolutely! I did not take into account the factors that may be involved and how it could (or would) definitely be abused. Sorry for the bad suggestion, but I appreciate the dialog! Hope you both have a fantastic day!
