Introducing the Official MapleRoyals Wiki

Hello maplers,
As of July 2nd, we are releasing the official MapleRoyals wiki!
All data directly extracted from our server, fully available to the public to search through and explore⁽¹⁾.

The wiki includes useful information like:

1. Details about all item categories (equipment, consumables, chairs, cash, etc), including their stats (potential godly stats) and ways to obtain the item⁽²⁾.
   
2. Information about all monsters in the game, their stats, including weaknesses and resistances, where they spawn⁽³⁾ and what they are expected to drop⁽⁴⁾.
3. Basic overview of maps, their NPCs and their connected maps.
4. Details of all skills and their data per level.
5. Information about all NPCs, their various spawn locations, and any quests they might be offering.
6. Information about all quests, the NPC that gives that quest, their requirements and prerequisites, and a basic step-by-step guide on how to complete the quest.

The Landing Page

When you first enter the website, you will be greeted by a simple, single search bar.
We have made this search bar fully capable of searching through all categories in the wiki, and we expect that most of the time this will be enough.


A simple search will catch most things related to all items, and will return back any relevant results.
In this example, "royals" is mentioned in the Character Name Change item's description, which is why that item is also included in the search - so a search here should be fully capable of finding anything you need in general, if you know what you want!




The Catalog

For people who want a complete overview, or if you just need more capability in your search, you might be interested in the Catalog page, found immediately under the landing page search bar:


Simply press that little "Browse Catalog" text, and you will be greeted with a more detailed page, with more manual steps for a more detailed browsing experience imcluding sidebar navigation.

The Filter System

With all that information available, we have also taken the time to implement variable searching, and simple sorting.
You will be able to search for most common things easily, using our filter button immediately to the right of the search bar in each page, as shown in this image:


The search bar is the actual filtering mechanism, however we added a simple button to quickly add search filters. Overtime, you might learn how to directly write in filters, rather than use the filter button, or you can simply stick with the filter button at all times - there are no wrong answers!

Not only is the filter system capable of searching for almost anything in that category, it is also highly customisable in the search itself!
As an example, I want to look at monsters who are level 130 and above, but are specifically not bosses - well guess what, you can do exactly that!


The filter system is fully capable of ranges and complex queries, with immediate results:




The Changelog

For transparency, we have a changelog page that will be automatically updated with all differences in the files between versions, so you can track what was added, removed and/or modified, throughout all versions.
(Image will be shown on next patch when we actually have some changes to display, for now just take my word for it! )


Ongoing Development and Feedback

While we do have a fully functioning wiki currently, it's only as helpful as you help us make it out to be.
If you believe something is missing, like features, filters, more information, more detailed information, want to report a bug, or just have general ideas on how to make it more user-friendly, do not hesitate to send us that feedback here! We are happy to take a look, and improve the wiki, for a better experience for everyone⁽⁵⁾.

Spoiler: Clarifications and limitations

1. Anything publicly available is searchable on the Wiki, however that excludes undisclosed values and effects, such as scripted NPC content and drop rates of items.
   
2. Only direct ways to obtain items are included, e.g. drops from monsters or quest rewards. Scripted event rewards are not disclosed.
3. Monsters that are scripted to spawn in certain quests, situations and/or events are not disclosed.
4. Event-specific items (e.g. Christmas related drops) are not disclosed.
5. That being said, for obvious reasons we will likely not budge on these limitations above. You can always try to suggest it though, and we might take another look, but no guarantees!
