What were your expectations going into playing MapleRoyals? I've played a handful of private servers before Royals and to knowledge they all shut down in a few weeks/months so I figured the same would happen here What made you continue playing? I'm not really sure why at the time but I really wanted to be level 200. Do you have any goals that keep you going? I remember the first thing I ever chaos'd I made a 17 att PGC and I didn't even know if it was good or not! I actually didn't know what HP washing was or what was considered good equips until my second 200, I guess what keeps me going now is I feel like I've learned more about equips and range in the past 6 months than the last 4 years so I been trying to work on that for my NL as well as completing all the 200's (6/12)!! Do you like how the server is shaping itself compared to when you first joined? . What would you like to see in future updates? More cosmetics because it's more realistic that it will happen!
What were your expectations going into playing MapleRoyals? That it was an easy and cute game and I would play with my friend (Sammeh) with me. In the end, he just suggested the game to me and we never get to play together. He did join my first wedding though! What made you continue playing? As someone who naturally goes on and off in this game (a lot); It's my friends and guild. I think for the whole year I've played most people who were dear to me never really left. Or they are busy IRL but still keeps in touch in the game or in Discord at least. My old friends or guild easily died or lost contact before then (But to my old friends who still keep in touch despite not playing Royals anymore, thank you for still being there. ) so I was quicker to leave the game. Now that my friends and guild stayed for a quite long time, I felt like I didn't want to take it for granted. I'm blessed and very thankful for the new people I've met and for being a member of Savior and Crew. My loyalty will never disappear from the both of you. Do you have any goals that keep you going? To spoil my attackers and trying out "at least" 5 jobs in the game in which I already have in mind. And I'm currently doing Quest Specialist and Legendary Collector at the same time when I just want to relax so maybe that's good? With Legendary Collector, I might ask for help from my friends. Do you like how the server is shaping itself compared to when you first joined? No... Although I'm not saying that the game hasn't been doing anything to improve it, it just really takes a very long time just for it to happen. I just feel like the recent dramas happening lately could've been avoided If the old feedbacks were prioritized in the first place. But thank you to all of the Staff for trying to improve the game, I think the lack of respect of some people in the community, full of criticism and assuming they know how to do your job could be overwhelming. I don't know anything that is happening behind it all but in the recent days of hackers trolling around FM and maps just to get attention (Instead of hackers who usually cheat to take advantage) is a bit concerning to me. The fact it also takes a long time to get a reply from the ban appeals makes me sad too. I know what they did is wrong but they could be innocent and are having a hard punishment just from waiting for a response. This game reminds me of an old game I used to play wherein it was shut down and we didn't get any announcements from the Owner (It just died) and we, the community tried to remake the game but to no avail. What I meant to say is that this game has potential like the old game I played (They had such a caring community, it took us years to move on) but If not taken in the right direction will be its own downfall. Hopefully, that won't ever be the case. What would you like to see in future updates? As someone who habitually writes in the thread "What NX items do you want?", well of course more cosmetics kek. Like please notice us, that doesn't mean the NX items written there should be RP imo. Give us poor people a better chance to be fabulous too. (I'm becoming broke from all of the donations I did already) FM button why did you disappear? Open more maps for more quests and content! I don't know I find it relaxing to do them If I burnt myself out from leechstory and bossing so and I do find maps fascinating. I've always been around at FM or in common maps (APQ, Cwkpq, HT, etc.) so every time I go out to try something new; seeing the maps make me happy. Autoban, I didn't felt like writing it in the first place considering a lot already did but do please keep in mind some wrote autoban a year ago and there is still nothing Boss rewarps due to DC. I wish training maps would be more friendly or desirable. I feel like leeching should be the last option or below from training maps, quests, and PQs. (Leeching should only be for players who are constantly busy IRL, rich, or wants to be easily richer in-game by selling it) but that means being unwashed. (as someone who does quest specialist on a washed character but letting my Bishop do all the work-) I don't know how it'll happen but yeah.
What were your expectations going into playing MapleRoyals? i hate Potential % meta and wanted to have HHG, Ant Cave and more things back which got removed in Post Big Bang. I think this part ruined the original maplestory and not the new jobs :O making it from p2w to even more p2wp2wp2w. What made you continue playing? New Updates like this HP Quest, even if i think they should lower it to lvl 130 :O New Events (2 Carat Ring always nice to have) Shifting the Meta from to Petri to Skeles Nerfing a lil the NL Story, even if its not dmg output, only by mesos. Do you have any goals that keep you going? Actually i wanna create a good ranged Damage dealer, which is taken into HT or more :O (14k hp+) (18k+ by lvl 200) Reaching 1 Mil NX - > Merching more now and waiting until i've got enough and the Spirit to create a char with quite decent gear and stuff :O Do you like how the server is shaping itself compared to when you first joined? Quite hard to say, because i still kinda feel new even if im playing 2 years on/off I think the harrasment things are handled to harsh sometimes, but thats just my personal opionion... I kinda like the meta changes even with Auf Haven, giving the Endgame people a nice thing to achieve. What would you like to see in future updates? i would really like not to see Big bang Patch in General, potential % just destroying the whole game... Rather i would like to see something like Pink Bean, Aran and Evan. Nerfing the Aran and Evan Dmg in beginning, so it wont be a Aran/Evan Story :O Maybe even adding a Party Play Areal like Lionheart Castle, which making slighty better exp then Leeching? And if a place like this got released, maybe do a Mule Limit (1+1) or lets say other people have Attack every 10s to get EXP. I dont think we should nerf Mages/NL and further. Maybe even releasing UA/CoK so people can get +20 Attack for their mains which are already lvl 200... Mapleeurope had a Supreme Server for people reaching high level and wanted to train the main char further
What were your expectations going into playing MapleRoyals? - like many here, just wanna relive the nostalgia of my MSEA days What made you continue playing? - @Dudu 's peer pressure - what started off as a casual hobby turned into pulling all nighters killing snowmans. Plus I was earning so much from selling Tedtacular Bearingtons that it kinda got me hooked. - unplanned HT duo/trios - last but not least, the kind boys and girls I met along the way. From horntail buddies to hotpot/KBBQ/ drinking buddies. All the fun adventures in and out of the game. Like one time @Tomfoolery drove us to his grandma's house just to eat curry noodles? Bringing overseas friends around town and sending them off Volunteering at a dog shelter AND a particular group of alcoholics from Wiggle, we got progressively wasted after each drinking sesh. Thank you for everything and I will treasure these moments dearly. Do you have any goals that keep you going? - trying different jobs, bucc was really fun tbh - those that know me, knows that out of my 4 main attackers, 3 of them are in the same account. Not the sharpest tool in the shed but whats done issa done. So one of my goals was to level all of them to 200, sadly I wasn't able to. 1: Play a legit bbb serv with no pay2win. 2; stable server, legit xpdrop rates and at the time the economy was healthy, not fucked up like today 3: Upgrading characters gear&lv, events, 4: The serv is basicly the same except it was much healtier arround 2015ish. Vote abuse have gone too far,the economy looks like shit. Hp wash is a total joke & is abused due to its total nessessity to bossing. Currrently looking for a new serv btw just cuz of that,royals are lucky there aint much out there anymore 5- vote2win canceled. Add hp wash into the game itself instead of it being a bug or remove it / nerf boss dmg idk find a way yourself it aint complicated. Gacha removed from cash shop, extaliams had a great working system for that,make mobs drop em at low rates eh. Nerf bishop & global leeching problem, no one does pq so maybe do something about this?

I even had long distance relationships with a couple people I met on this server Do you have any goals that keep you going? Used to have. No longer Do you like how the server is shaping itself compared to when you first joined? No. Most of the updates the past couple years have been new content that no one really cares about, since this server is heavily elitist based and everyone goes for the exact same route to level up as quickly as possible. The only content I can think of on top of my head that hasn't been "meh" or downright annoyed the community is Shaolin, and I guess Neo Tokyo. What would you like to see in future updates? I am tired of waiting for content Royals should have added years ago. I have been trying out many other servers. Royals is the only server I've tried that still don't have Pink bean. Same goes for many other areas and bosses, and after almost three years of "SoonTM", I can't be bothered to wait around any longer. So to answer the question, I would like to see content that should have been here years ago. In conclusion: My friends made it worth playing here for me. However, there's a never ending cycle of friends leaving as soon as they get tired of the content on this server (or the pain of HP washing) and lack of any actual big updates. I'm tired of having to find new friends over and over again, and I'm tired of waiting for content that will never show up. I used to love the content here, but after several years I want to do something else you know. I have found love thanks to this server and friends I am definitely going to meet irl once Covid fucks off, and for that I am forever grateful to Royals . But, I have finally decided to do what my friends are doing and try playing somewhere else, and so far I'm having a blast. I'll stick around a bit though most likely to say hi to the few oldschool buds here that are still around

What were your expectations going into playing MapleRoyals? Late 2020, during the winter of COVID times, I wanted to play an MMORPG where I could lose myself in a grind with raids and an engaging community. I was getting bored of Fall Guys and didn’t know what to do with myself since I was unemployed and not sure where I was going next with my career. I joined this server with an IRL friend and we both wanted to make new friends, experience progression in game, and relive some nostalgia. I hoped to make some friends like I did in old private servers back when I was 13-15 years old and have fun just chatting and chilling in game. What made you continue playing? At first, seeing my progression was my reason to keep playing. And when it began to stagnate once I hit bossing level and when it became apparent how difficult it is to progress, my reason to continue playing became the community. And then when community things started to fall apart a bit, I went back to the in-game progression like grinding medals and merching, and now find comfort in maintaining a balance between the two. Do you have any goals that keep you going? I enjoy making new attackers and seeing them grow and evolve, along with my desire to play them changing as well. When I don’t have as much motivation to boss or play attackers, I like to craft items, organize my inventory, and browse the FM. So I suppose my concrete goals that keep me going are my ever changing desires to make new attackers and my goal to continue making mesos slowly in fun ways that don’t kill my fun. Do you like how the server is shaping itself compared to when you first joined? I didn’t really have a good feel of what the server was really like until maybe 4-5 months into playing, but I don’t really have too many expectations out of something I consider to be a fun hobby. I think that I’m happy with what I’ve got out of my experience so far and I’m glad that there are some positive changes, such as new staff roles being added, but I am sad that the progression of improvement is so slow when seeing how fast other servers move with changes. What would you like to see in future updates? I would like to see changes to organizational structure of staff, more bravery, more imagination, and more accountability. I’d also love to see banned players have a chance to return, especially those who vote abused. I understand that a ban is easier to implement than a punishment structure but it makes me sad to see great players face permanent bans when they would otherwise gladly never commit a mistake again and continue contributing to the server. Change is also hard to implement in longstanding structures, but for things to improve I believe that it is necessary.
What were your expectations going into playing MapleRoyals? I joined GMS so long ago, I can't even remember the exact timing, fourth grade or something, I think some time before Gachapon was added to the game. Maplestory was the first MMO I played and I was thoroughly addicted all the way to big bang. I never made it that far on any class and figured MapleRoyals would be a chance to get that hit of nostalgia and experience the content I never got to. What made you continue playing? I started in 2017, hit 4th job on my f/p and had a white knight within a few months but got a bit busy irl and was pretty on and off (I got kinda addicted to path of exile for a few leagues). During covid my brothers convinced me to come back, I pushed my Pally after seeing the changes to the class. Do you have any goals that keep you going? - I am making two more attacking characters now that I hit 200 on my Pally. When I hit endgame on these characters I don't know if I will go for more. Depends on life and the activity of the server. - Once I have another attacker ready, consistent duo auf and help my brother get a helm. Then get one for myself (this one is a longshot tbh) Do you like how the server is shaping itself compared to when you first joined? To be honest, I think we lost quite a few dedicated players because of the lack of progress in quite a few areas of this server. I watched some great people come and go from staff that could have really helped push this server forward. I think the class balancing has been okay, there is still room to improve. Overall, no I don't think this server hit anywhere close to what could have been. What would you like to see in future updates? - More class balancing - Increased usage of GM tools to reduce pressure on admins - Removal of Vote to Win, or changes to reduce abuse - Challenging endgame content, something where people can't mule/multiattack/ easily complete 100% of the time.
