Would be a nice quality of life change if there was a option to disable the scrolling notice because it interferes with the boss hp bar. Alternatively, maybe adding a hourly notice to remind players of the current event/upcoming server check could substitute for the scrolling notice.
I do agree it can be annoying, and even distracting with it being a scrolling message. Once you see it, you probably don't need to see it consistently throughout the day. What if, during the days the +50% bonus is active, you instead get the message at login? It can follow the [Welcome] message and I think that might work better than utilizing the scrolling or hourly notices
Ever since my very first encounter with this game, I've resented the scrolling notice. The HP bar being blocked is meh for me. But, this nonconsensual bar taking up my precious 23 pixels of screen space is the bane of my existence.
Terrible idea, Johnny. Royals was created to have an environment as similar as possible to as we all remember the game being back in 2008/2009 (aka "The Golden Days"). I'm sure FangBlade would cringe on his gaming chair if he read your comment. I honestly do feel that if you would give this a try for a while longer that you will adapt, and eventually it may become one of those "Do you remember when?" things, just like the "warp-to-FM" button removal.
disabling notices = contradicts the whole purpose of notices. imagine taking off work to get an fm spot with no notice the upcoming SC was cancel QAQ
another option: increase the background opacity, and for each message in the scrolling notification, add a lot of space between every message repeat (either in code or literally adding spacebars to the messages) that would give longer periods where you can see the god damn hp par, without running the risk of people not seeing an important message
