Writing another update post since I've made some good progress and also had a hilarious bossing experience today. So far from NLC I've gotten 2 105 attack StoneTooth Swords, 2 White Scrolls, as well as a Bluish Mineral from Perion. Sadly, I blew up the second StoneTooth Sword with a 30% scroll. While gaching at Perion, I managed to get a few 2h 60% scrolls, 4/7 which passed at the time. This got me really excited thinking I'd get really lucky like I did with my Rohen and make an overpowered sword. Turns out I ended up getting really lucky, passing 7/7 60% scrolls on my StoneTooth, resulting in a 119att/7str StoneTooth Sword. With the attack speed boost as well as 19 more weapon attack, my range gained a huge boost with the sword. For my grinding experience, I spent 70-80 grinding at Windraiders in Lower Ascent. It turns out these guys are extremely good exp. Even at level 80, I was still getting levels every 40 minutes. With my Fire Charge maxed, I decided to start experiencing what Paladins are all about: Elemental damage. When fighting an enemy that you have elemental advantage against, Paladins deal 1.5x damage. This allows Paladins to train at different training areas that normally other classes wouldn't bother training at. Since I've never played a Paladin before, this made the grinding experience a lot more fun for me. It was fun grinding at monsters that I usually overlooked as a pointless mob to grind at. I spent 80-90 grinding at Blue Kentarus with my Fire Charge. At first, I wasn't a fan of Blue Kents. The exp rate was about the same as Windraiders, one level every 40 minutes or so. Overtime, I got used to the three platform map and enjoyed hitting high against them. Also, praise the current event going on, because I love seeing players wearing a sausage because it gives a huge damage boost. Goes to show that people will do anything to hit higher. If any of the staff are reading this post right now, for April Fools can you please give everyone a ring that turns you into a snail but gives you 30k HP/MP or a huge damage boost? I'd love to see a bunch of snails killing bosses like Horntail while looking like a snail. Call it Bob's Ring or something. From 90-100, I grinded at a few different areas. First, I went to Spirit Vikings in Ludi since I decided to max my Lightning Charge second. For some reason, I thought they dropped Earring Dex 60% scrolls, so I was hoping to make myself a 10dex earring here. In addition, I wanted to grind a Dark Battle Lord overall since it looks good and I don't plan on using a top/bottom with my StoneTooth until I gach at NLC enough. After 5 levels of grinding at Vikings, I was confused why I wasn't getting any earring dex scrolls. I checked the monster collection and saw they don't drop them. I nearly pulled my hair out. Despite that, the exp was nice. Again, I was still getting one level every 40 minutes or so. Also, for whatever reason, the overall seemed extremely rare. My inventory would get full at least once every level, and over my 5 levels of grinding there, I only got 7 Dark Battle Lords. Seemed strange, but I ended up making a pretty nice overall. After that, I decided to grind at Himes to make myself a 10dex earring. Surprisingly, it only took me about 2 levels to finish my earring. When it came to my Night Lord, I spent several grinding at Himes making my earring. From 97-100, I hunted Headless Horseman for Topwear Str 30% scrolls as well as exp. In the future, I plan on grinding Headless Horseman since they drop top str 30s common, give good nx, and are good exp. With my Rohen, each kill was taking about 6mins 45seconds. Over the course of three levels, I got myself 8 scrolls. It seems to be about a 33% drop rate chance, but can't really say for certain considering I've only killed about 25 Headless Horseman so far. From 100 onwards, I've decided to grind at ToT to get most of the questlines done to unlock my endgame training spots, and it's also really good exp for Paladins after they manage to get past the Memory area. With elemental advantage against Road of Regret, I can expect levels pretty quickly. I ended today killing Dodo and unlocking Road of Regret, but boy was this fight one of my stupidest moments in Maplestory. I consider this story the highlight of my Paladin so far. On October 5th, 2020, I decided to face Dodo on my White Knight at level 105. All I remember about the boss is that it has 6m HP, so I thought it'd be pretty easy considering Headless Horseman has 3m HP. BOY WAS I WRONG. It turns out that Dodo is level 121. In order for a warrior to hit Dodo with a 100% hit ratio at my level, I'd need 250.9 accuracy. With my StoneTooth equipped and a sniper pill, I only had 141 accuracy. Instead of using my StoneTooth, I tried using my Rohen, bringing my accuracy up to 178, and having a 50% hit ratio. I was only hitting 5k damage at most against him and Dodo was being a big troll and constantly teleporting me outside the map. The first Dodo I found I gave to another player since the fight would've taken me forever at the time. And so, I started strategizing against Dodo. I ended up grinding 10 Maple Pops, thinking this would be enough for some reason(This was nowhere near enough, I was a stupid idiot). 10 Maple pops only let me deal about 1/3 of his health. At the time, I met a level 200 Hero by the name of fallendragn, and let me tell you, THIS MAN IS A TRUE HERO. Firstly, he famed me. In addition, when he saw me looking for Dodo, he found Dodo in his map and let me kill it. He was grinding in the map for Helm Int 60%s and didn't need the kill. After 10 minutes, I asked him if he could protect Dodo for me while I grind some more maple pops and then finish the fight. I did a speed run straight to NLC and grinded for 30 maple pops. Roughly 20 minutes later, I came back with 40 maple pops, confident that I'd be able to eliminate him. The overall fight took about 30 minutes, and the Flying Whale had finally been killed. With that, Memory Lane and Dodo became my ultimate nightmare. A boss that I never struggled with somehow became a boss that I feared and hated. During this hour long journey, I was laughing non-stop, and I ended up meeting a random player who got to experience this stupid experience with me. If anyone knows fallendragn, please tell him to read this part of the post because I hope he found this random experience hilarious. Well, I'm getting to the end of this update post now. As of right now, I've reached level 106. My range and gear have improved a lot. I'm holding off on gach now until I catch up on my HP washing. My next post should be when I finally become a Paladin. Hopefully I don't run into another stupid encounter like today. Even though it was stupid, I enjoyed every moment of that boss fight.

Making another update post since maintenance is making me exp waste. For starters, I've become a Paladin! Paladins gain access to Blast, a huge single target attack, Rush, and Heaven's Hammer. I have to say, I really love the Rush and Heaven's Hammer combo. I didn't know Heaven's Hammer did damage cap, so I've been leveling up faster than I expected to. Basically every minute I kill 15 mobs with the combo, and usually another 15 while waiting for the cool down. With Heaven's Hammer at level 1, I'm killing anywhere between 1000-1200 mobs per hour typically in the Oblivion maps (20-24m exp/hr). Comparing my Paladin to my Night Lord in regards to grinding, I'm getting the same exp in my early-mid 120s compared to my 151 Night Lord. Grinding has been a blast(get it that's a pun, sorry for writing that)! I've already unlocked and maxed Blast 20. I have yet to get a Blast 30 skillbook and don't expect to get one until I unlock Oblivion 5 where I can hunt Lyka for it. The only two bosses that drop Blast 30 are Papulatus and Lyka, but Pap is a daily boss compared to Lyka which I can hunt every 3 hours and kill up to 20 of them in that time period. As of right now, my Pap runs are about 22minutes average. Since I don't have Power Stance leveled up yet, instead of fighting the boss on the top left platform, I kill him in the bottom right corner. I found it annoying to constantly have to keep moving back in order to avoid falling off the platform, and Pap sometimes will hit you to the left and knock you off. It's annoying getting dispelled constantly, but it's a lot more afk than having to move left every second. If I were to guess, I could probably get a 20minute run if I killed it on the platform, but I don't plan on using the platform until I level up stance a little bit. I also killed Bigfoot once, but it was before 4th job, so it ended up taking over an hour with Power Strike and Warrior Elixirs. Once I max Blast 30, I plan on hunting Bigfoot so I can get myself a Silver Deputy Star. As of right now, I'm level 128 and currently working on maxing stance. If I manage to get a Blast 30 book before then, I'll max blast and then focus on stance. I was considering getting Heaven's Hammer up to level 10 to speed up my grinding, but I think I'd rather work on stance since it'll help speed up my Pap runs. When I max Blast and Stance, I'm thinking of slowing down on leveling and focusing on gear/quests instead. I've already completed the HP quest, and am sitting at 21904 HP. I'm pretty sure I can get around 25k HP with my spare MP. HP washing is a waiting game for me since I need nx to finish that. The only 4th job skills I haven't unlocked yet are Guardian, Holy Charge, Advance Charge Blast, and Hero's Will. I'm holding off on acquiring those skills until later. Depending on if there are other Ironman players who need skillbooks from Zakum, I will join Ironzak groups for ACB. Otherwise, I plan on soloing Zakum for all of my skill books this time around. My gear is looking pretty good so far. I'm not planning on making a top/bottom until I can start gaching again. It'd take a lot of effort to grind the scrolls for those, so I'm going to stick with my overall until I can gach for scrolls, weapons, etc. I think a top/bottom would boost my range the most right now. I did scroll my 10str/7 dex top I got from FoG, but sadly only 3 scrolls passed, so it's only 16/7. I can't really use it until I get enough scrolls to make a bottom. With Blast 20 and Ciders against a mob with elemental weakness, I can hit up to 33k. Slash Blast can hit up to 9k. The last thing I'm writing here is a few goals I have for my account. I feel a lot more committed to an account when I have goals other than leveling up to 200. As of right now, these are the following goals I'd like to complete on my Paladin: Solo Krexel for an Almighty Ring Solo Zakum for a Zakum Helmet Obtain Quest Specialist Medal (Currently 415/800) Obtain Legendary Collector Medal (Currently 47/400) Make an Armor Set where I have 999 Weapon Defense (This is more of a fun one that I'd like to do at some point with my spare scrolls) Obtain Black Belt Hit 199999 (I'd love to see myself hit the damage cap someday, but this seems like it'll take a really long time) I'm hoping to Solo Krexel and Zakum by the end of this year, as well as obtain Quest Specialist medal. The other goals are more later game goals, but are goals I can see myself going for in the future. There are other bosses to solo, but I haven't thought about them much yet. Paladin has been a blast so far, and I can't wait to see what else it has in store for me(sorry about the blast pun again, I'll stop now )!

My god, yesterday was one of my craziest gacha streaks in a while. I saved up 200k nx on shichika (only because i was too lazy to leave ludi),and spent it all in NLC. And omg, in my first 90 tickets, i've gotten 4 white scrolls!!! I was never lucky with WS and CS, and definitely not to that degree, so it was quite surprising for me. Heck, by the end, i even gotten myself a 5th one! So natually, i went ahead and used them all on my 99 att 3 slot knuckler (yes i know its not perfect, but gl getting your hands on a perfect one, or even godly range in ironman...). And the results? 104 att 2 slots!!!! In total, my 5th slot took only 4 white scrolls!!! (one way before yesterday, and another 3 from this run) I tried the other 2 white scrolls later, both failed, but dang, i was not expecting to see an upgrade to my weapon anytime soon (or at all lol)
