Remove Vote to Win

Vote2win is not real, it is a term made up by other server to advertise their own. In truth Royalers benefit very little from daily vote (~30m a day), you can earn that by selling 10 mins of leech as archmage/bishop.
Make APR untradeable on the other hand complete change the system that run Royals for years and it really risky, create an unbalance between new and old players. All for what, piss some Vote abusers off for few days until they find another way to RWT?
And to point out the fatal flaw of that system, players from a peer server need to vote for nearly a year to complete reset base int and MP in their Thieves, Bowmen, Pirates.... and not even add any HP yet. Not to mention if they want to play multiple job in the future, they have to make multiple accounts and using VPN + change hardware IP to bypass Gtop detection, which is another form of exploiting as well.

 

You're very wrong about most of those points.

1. Vote 2 win is not an advert. It is a simple notion that voting directly affects how in-game currency is generated. It closely resembles pay2win for many reasons.
2. For Sair/Thief/BM/MM. washing to 11-13k hp allows you to do all bossing content which generally only takes around 3 months of voting, and you can easily do that as you start playing.
3. Voting on multiple accounts is as easy as pressing airplane mode on/off on your phone and voting again. It's very simple and a guide shows you how to do it. And it's not exploiting at all - "GTOP actually permits voting on multiple connections, as long it is not by VPN or Proxy." So don't do it that way. Do it the easy way.
4. Making RWT'ers that currently vote abuse to find another way is an awesome tactic. Saying that "they'll just do something else" is not a valid argument, due to the fact that something else is much more difficult. The RWT'ers of the peer server literally advertises that they make their Mesos from legit ways. Since there is an auto-ban and no Vote abuse, they have to resort to grinding Mesos the legit way, the same way as other players. Then they just make the decision to RWT based on their own morals. Removing Vote2Win still would fix the current issue.
5. I'm sure leeching will not be the meta mesos maker in the near future. As Royals is progressing to creating more ways of obtaining HP/MP in-game, leeching might soon be a luxury item instead of the structure of the entire economy. It would be more of a choice, leading to a decrease in demand.

I wish I could give you links to my sources of information but that would be considered soliciting another server by linking you to their website. But, generally, I'm copy-pasting most of my points from the sources.

 

Maybe @Cooler can suggest some indepth opinions/solution/balancing to this as well.

I did consider giving 1k hands a +1% scroll rate but never posted it tho. Others have said the same thing about 30k fame fyi, so don't come after me lol

There's literally limitless ways gach tix could be rewarded though. Staff needs to go back on that acid camping trip where they came up with the 50% crash and new avoid formula. Seriously, I loved the bold progressiveness of both of those things (the crash change was reminiscent of many suggestions I've made lol), but staff just needs to be very clear that they are trying new things out for the betterment of their server (like an in game scrolling marquee to go check out the feedback forum about X change, such as the HP washing alternatives thread jooong posted, it's already dead, not everyone goes to the website to voice their opinion or even knows about the feedback forum), they will be temporary, yada yada or recruit for their test server more

Heres some crazy shit. No change to gach or a removal of v2w should be done without either a new world/server to do it on or a complete wipe of the primary server. These are levels of changes that have to be put into clean fresh economies for there to be noticeable positive differences and not years down the line. And not placed into an economy thats existed for 8 years and expect immediate results

 

Or slowly begin raising the price of gach tix in cs, as they start adding gach tix to pq token store, boss token store, and possibly lower the price of APR, and keep APR/Gach tix prices in opposition to still generate voting

 

Lol I'm also not against that. But I'm pretty sure a peer server did it in 2019 and made a fluid transition without a server wipe that was successful. so kind of proving you wrong.

 

The idea behind remove vote2win is great but this only works with a fully functional auto ban . Then you have to question what happens to the economy and how about people that already saved up a large sum of nx?

Out of curiosity what was the state of that server and how many players were playing? How did their economy change?

 

Vote abuse is perhaps one of the biggest issues in Royals right now. This includes white list abusers as well (aka legit vote abuse). If vote abuse is countered effectively, the supply of AP Resets should always stay below the demand and lessen the peer pressure regarding excessive HP washing.

Before we go any further with the discussion concerning the removal of vote2win, can we hear from Staff whether they have any old/new plans to combat this critical issue? This topic was constantly brought up during the past years but I never witnessed an official announcement or statement from Staff.

I'm not a specialist here, I only been playing that server for a month now and asking players these questions to educate myself. But I wonder if @Kimberly could help me out as a celebrity guest lol.

Does anybody else get goosebump and overly excited when @sparky95 agrees with you and spits facts. Just me? Ok. But yea, staff? I like when staff says things. Staff saying things bring me joy.

Hello, I just wanted to let everyone know I've censored every post in this thread that had mentioned the name of another server. Normally, simply mentioning the name of a different server itself does not violate our rules against advertising a different server--especially when done so to make good faith comparisons for the improvement of our own community. However, this thread has long since crossed beyond that point of good faith. In either case, the name dropping has become unnecessarily excessive. Moving forward, please keep in mind that advertising another server results in these forums in a permanent ban. While we definitely do not want to permanently ban anyone from the forums just for potentially dancing around the line on a gray area rule, we may begin assigning warning points for players who excessively name drop other servers just to be edgy about the rules that are in place. Thank you!

 

I'm confused on what good faith point was crossed.

A lot of people say, it sounds like a good idea, but will it work? It will be hard? Economy? Players? Etc etc. And rather than discuss hypotheticals and theories, referencing a source of how it was done and how it succeeded seems like a great answer to these questions. I never meant to bring anything passed a point. I think the people banned on forums/in game are just butt hurt and start unnecessary drama in any thread they can. But I want Royals to succeed, so I try.

 

he's refering to how many people name dropped other server names in this thread. its against forum rules but sen didn't take action until some dude decided to take it to the extreme. it wasn't directed at you per say.

btw, a lot of people also think that this change is unnecessary, don't discredit the poll you yourself made (and even resetted it when the ratio was like 80% "no" lol, i doubt all the people who voted "no" even returned to check this thread again).
